Interrupt

Interrupts a contact in order to detect a remote fax machine, allows a caller to send a fax, or to detect DTMFClosed Signaling tones that are generated when a user presses or taps a key on their telephone keypad. tones dialed by a caller.

Dependencies

  • Most events stand alone and can be placed in a script to be executed by another action or script that triggers it. However, the Interrupt event is processed in the flow of a script.
  • The Interrupt action is triggered by DTMF events that may occur anywhere in the script (after the Interrupt) during the contact. Typically, Interrupt is placed immediately after the Begin action.

Result Branch Conditions

Result branch conditions allow you to create branches in your script to handle different outcomes when an action executes.

Branch Details

Default

Path taken unless the script meets a condition that requires it to take one of the other branches. It is also taken if the action's other branches are not defined.

OnFAX

Path taken when a fax machine is detected.
OnDTMF Path taken if the DetectDTMF property is set to TRUE and DTMF digits are present in the buffer.
OnINFO Path taken when additional information is detected.
