Set Up Divisions

Divisions strictly and securely separate data within the system so you can align them with different lines of business or other organizational structures. To have divisions Separate data securely between lines of business. Data can only be accessed from within the division it's part of. enabled for your CXone Mpower system, contact your Account Representative.

Create Divisions

Required Permissions: Divisions > Division  > Create

You can have multiple levels of divisions. That is, a division can have subdivisions. Before you begin creating your divisions, plan out the structure you need.

1. Click the app selector and select Admin.

2. Under Security Settings, click Divisions.

3. Click Create Division.

4. Enter a unique and descriptive Name for the new division.
5. For the Parent Division, select the division you want to nest the new division under. The default is Root Division. Leave this as the selection if you don't want this to be a subdivision.  The name of the root division in your list may be different if you have updated its name.
6. Enter a Description for the division. This is optional and for internal use.
7. If you want to assign a Billing Code to this division, do one of the following:
   1. Click Enter a code and enter a numeric code of between one and ten digits.
   2. Click Select an existing code and choose a code from the drop-down.

8. Click Save.

9. Repeat these steps to create your full structure of divisions and subdivisions.

10. You can now assign a division to entities when you create them. For example, when you create an ACD skill, there is a Division drop-down to choose from. The option to assign a division is only available for entities that support divisions.
