Manage GenAI Prompt Editor Profiles

There are several actions you can take on a prompt profile. These actions include duplicating, deleting, renaming, and reverting to an older version.

The icon next to a prompt profile indicates its current status.

  • Icon: Orange notepad with writing: The profile is a new draft that hasn't been published yet.

  • Icon: Green check mark wtih a circle around it: The profile is published with no pending changes from you.

  • Icon: Purple notepad with writing on it and a circle with an arrow in the corner: The profile is reverted to an earlier version that isn't the currently published one.

  • Icon: A blue check mark with a circle around it ending in an arrow: The profile has been published but has pending, unpublished changes.

Required permissionsLaunch GenAI Prompt Editor, Prompt Access Edit

When a user publishes a prompt profile, the new version of it is saved. You can access each version of the profile that was previously published. From there, you can make a copy or republish the older version as needed. When you've selected and republished an old version of a prompt profile, you can still access the versions that were published after the one you reverted to. For example, if your prompt profile is on V.4 and you revert to V.2 and publish, you will still be able to access V.3 and V.4.

  1. Click the app selector icon of app selector and select Admin.
  2. Go to GenAI Manager > GenAI Prompt Editor.
  3. In the Profiles menu, navigate to the profile you want to revert.
  4. Hover over the profile you want to revert. Click the three stacked dots icon . Hover over History and select the version you want to access.

From here, you can retest and republish the prompt or create a copy of the version you've selected.
