The Change Audit report displays general activities across your NiCE CXone system. For example, you could view all of the username changes that occurred during a specific time period. Or you could track evaluation form changes, such as being activated, deactivated, or deleted.
You must have these permissions:
-
Dashboard > Dashboard Templates > Change Audit Report: On
-
Dashboard > Dashboards: View
-
Dashboard > Dashboards: Edit (optional)
If you cannot access the reporting templates or Dashboard, or if widget data is not loading, check with your administrator. The administrator can verify your role's reporting, dashboard, and widget permissions by visiting Admin > Security Settings > Roles and Permissions.
Clarissa Dalloway is an analyst for Classics Inc. She wants to see all the changes in usernames for the month of May across all applications. Clarissa runs the Change Audit report, defining the time period from May 1st to May 31st in the report prompt. She then sets Entity to User and sets Attribute to User.userName in the report filter. The table automatically updates to show the username changes in May. The information includes when the changes were made, the previous and new values, and who made the change.
Data in this Report
The Change Audit report has multiple columns that present data attributes for changes to existing NiCE CXone entities or values. You can right-click any column in the report to sort the data, drill-down, or adjust the display.
| Field | Details |
|---|---|
| Application | The CXone application in which the event occurred. |
| Modified Time (UTC) |
The date and UTC time at which the change occurred. The displayed time is when the change occurred according to UTC+0. The time is not shown in your chosen time zone or the entity's time zone. For example, suppose your tenant's time zone is UTC +2 and you looked at a name change for a user whose time zone is UTC +1. If Modified Time displays 7:00 AM, then the change occurred at 8:00 AM for the user and 9:00 AM for your tenant. |

Digital Experience (DX) Changes
The Change Audit report tracks changes to Digital Experience (DX) configuration. Each entry shows the field that changed, the previous and new values, who made the change, and when the change occurred. If a field had no previous value, Previous Value is blank.
Filter by entity to select the item you want to review. Filter by attribute to narrow the results to one field.
The report does not display the values of sensitive fields such as secrets or credentials. If one of these fields changes, the report shows that a change occurred and masks the value.
| Entity | Tracked Changes |
|---|---|
| Automation trigger | Name, event type, input type, parameters, execution strategy, active status, deleted status, execution delay, folder, tags, and jobs assigned to the trigger. |
| Automation scheduler | The same changes as triggers, plus the schedule, cron expression, and next run time. |
| Automation job | Name, job type, parameters, deleted status, and tags. |
| Automation condition list |
Name, delayed status, sorting order, and the conditions in the list. The report shows all changes to the conditions in one entry. It displays the condition list as text before and after the change. |
| Role |
Name, description, ACD role link, shared role status, users assigned to the role, channel permissions, section permissions, and settings section permissions. The report records changes to channel, section, and settings section permissions as one entry for the role. If you change several permissions in one save, you see one entry only, not one entry per permission. |
| Channel | Title, third-party ID, owner, and media type. |
| Point of contact | Name and configuration fields. |
