SCIM

SCIM is a tool that allows you to securely sync user data between multiple applications. With a SCIM integration, you can create, update, and delete NiCE CXone users using a third-party identity provider (IdP). Commonly used IdPs are Okta, Azure Active Directory, and Google Workspace.

You can set up a SCIM integration in two ways:

  • Integrate by registering as an application with NiCE CXone. This option is only supported for Okta.
  • Integrate using access keys and tokens. This option is supported for Okta and other IdPs.

After setting up a SCIM integration, information flows in one direction: from your IdP to NiCE CXone. You can create, update, and deactivate NiCE CXone employee accounts with your IdP. If you use Okta, the Manage Employee Accounts with Okta page describes how to do this. Changes to user accounts made in your IdP automatically update employee accounts in NiCE CXone. Changes made in NiCE CXone do not update Okta.

Before you can import these fields, you have to enable them for your tenantClosed High-level organizational grouping used to manage technical support, billing, and global settings for your NiCE CXone system. on the Account Settings page.

All users created with your IdP are assigned to the Agent role in NiCE CXone, unless you enable a different default role. You can change the user's role in NiCE CXone after they're created. If you don't have an Agent role in NiCE CXone, you cannot create users using your IdP.
